Quinta de Alorna, Almeirim


The wine of Ribetejo, is famous and well treasured by the Portuguese people. You will be able to see it with your own eyes! Get the full experience and the taste a piece of the wine palette. You can visit the amazing Quinta de Alorna, just 10 minutes drive from the Quinta. Here they offer a tour at the farm and and a wine tasting of 2, 3 or 6 glasses. Interested? We will be happy to make a booking for you. Just let us know during your stay, the date, time, number of people and the amount of glasses to taste.

Almeirim is the nearest city, and has a large selection of restaurants, all serving the famous Stone Soup.

City of Obidos

A medival village

Take a one-hour drive from the farm, and see the town of Óbidos. Located on a hilltop and encircled by a fortified wall, Óbidos remains a well-preserved example of medieval architecture; its streets, squares, walls and its castle are a popular tourist destination. 

10 min after and you will be at the breath taking Portuguese coastline, at the peninsula Peniche, surf capital and great beaches. Recommendable for a day-trip.

Santarém City

The warmest place in Europe

In the city of Santarém, 20 min from the farm you will find beautiful architecture and several monuments, including the largest and most varied ensemble of gothic churches in Portugal. Just 10 min walk from center, at Portas do Sol you will find an amazing view point over the Tagus River.

Valada, Ribatejo

If you still want water, go to Valada, have a coffee at the River with the locals and enjoy the tranquillity in the shades of the willows.
